California Newt

We have two newts, both between six and seven inches long, that we
believe to be California (or perhaps Oregon) newts. If you think we
are wrong, please let us know.
California newts are lots of fun. Ours are very active, searching for
food most of the time. There was a time when both of them spent their
days hidden on the land side of the aqua-terrarium, but these days
they are almost exclusively in the water. When we put worms into the
food bowl, the two California newts are there almost instantaneously
and we have to make sure that the other newts get their fair
share.
