JV is the administrator and general Unix guru here at Newtsweek. He’s the guy who actually thought up the idea of Newtsweek and published two issues back in the fall of 1996 (of course you would have known that if you had stopped to read the history paragraph back on the main staff page). To your left (my right) is a slightly embarassing photo of JV in a dress. JV owns and runs the newts.org server which hosts Newtsweek. Below is a drawing of JV done by Lilith. JV is also known as Tapaboy. Below to the right is a pic of a newt holding a “Tapa-boy” banner. The whole “Tapaboy thang” is from the book War With the Newts by Karel Capek. Tapaboy was the leader of the newts in that book. |
