Winning Hermosa AVP Tournament in 2002
AVP NEWS
The tour has started off fast. We have finished 2 tournaments and everybody
is trying to knock off Rogers and Dahausser and also Walsh and May on the
women's side. They have won both tournaments respectively and have been
looking like the Olympic favorites coming up in August in China. It was
probably the highest level volleyball I have witnessed in an opening
tournament that I can remember in 16 years on tour. Being an Olympic year
and all the great players on tour made for some serious fireworks out there.
Get to a tournament this year and see what all the hype is about.
The only surprise was that Metzger and Lambert were out of action as Lambert
is nursing a recent knee injury so they decided as a team to hang back and
get ready for their Olympic qualifying push. The top 2 US teams will qualify
for the Olympics.
We will be in Huntington Beach, CA next weekend followed by stops in
Charleston and Louisville. Come join the many volleyball vacationers that
come and cheer on their favorite AVP players and enjoy the tournament
atmosphere. There is always something special about seeing a tournament live

tournaments and everybody is trying to knock off Rogers and Dahausser and
also Walsh and May on the women's side. They have won both tournaments
respectively and have been looking like the Olympic favorites coming up in
August in <st1:country-region w:st=3D"on"><st1:place w:st=3D"on">China</s=
t1:place></st1:country-region>.
It was probably the highest level volleyball I have witnessed i=
n an
opening tournament that I can remember in 16 years on tour. Being an
Olympic year and all the great players on tour made for some serious
fireworks out there. Get to a tournament this year and see what all the h=
ype
